BUY ART TO MAKE ART
Buy a one-of-a-kind work of art and become a permanent underwriter of a world premiere ballet.
In late 2024, choreographer Alysa Pires, composer Nicky Sohn, and visual artist linn meyers began conversations exploring BalletCollective's 2025 season theme, ECHOES OF THE UNSEEN. The three arrived at a shared conceptual anchor of "verticality," which sparked a dynamic creative process. Nicky created her musical composition with this in mind and linn then responded visually to the music, creating unique drawings on the pages of Nicky's score.
These "source" drawings evolved into a one-of-a-kind, limited edition lithographic print, made directly on the sheets of the original score. As the collective's "Source Artist," meyers's print served as inspiration for Sohn and Pires' final compositions. Pires' ballet The Magnitude of Verticality, is set to Sohn's score of the same name and will premiere in the fall of 2025.
Now, these original works are available to collectors and patrons. Your purchase directly supports the ballet's creation.
