BALLETCOLLECTIVE
SUMMER SEASON 2026
June 4 - 28 | The Culture Club | 530 W 27th St
This June, step inside an infinite universe of light, sound, and silhouette.
Translation, BalletCollective's acclaimed contemporary ballet installation, choreographed by Troy Schumacher, returns for an extended run inside The Culture Club at 530 West 27th Street, New York City's most storied venue for immersive theatre.
Six dancers move in silhouette through shifting planes of projected light, surrounded by music from Julianna Barwick and an immersive installation by Sergio Mora-Diaz. Created in collaboration with Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy Award–winning author Ken Liu, Translation invites audiences into a space suspended between memory, message, and dream.
Join us on the precipice of an unknown world, and embark on a journey.
FOR FIFTY MINUTES
EVERYTHING SLOWS
Called "breathtaking" by The Huffington Post, "magical" by Dance Tabs, and "an infinite landscape of moving light and shadow" by ArtsATL, Translation has not been seen in NYC since its 2017 premiere. By popular demand, this run marks BalletCollective’s longest season to date, with more performances and opportunities to experience the work than ever before.
